At London's New Wave Spanish Wine Awards, the Colección 125 Blanco 2006 won Best Premium Wine of Show abover 20 pounds. And at the fifth annual Madrid Fusión International Summit of Gastronomy 2008, the Chivite Colección 125 Blanco 2003 was awarded the title of Best White Wine of Spain for the third time. When Michael Broadbent reviewed the Colección 125 Reserva 2002, he had this to say: “Best of all, Chivite’s ‘125 Colección’ 2002 Reserva, a thoroughly modern but not over-the-top blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot: dark cherry; aromas that evolved in the glass; a misleadingly soft entry leading to a very dry finish. Not a wine-bar drink, definitely better with a succulent steak… Founded in 1647, the wines of the 11th generation of Chivite are more than a match for the best Riojas. After all, they have long experience and have had time to achieve perfection.” OLN's 2007 Award for the Best Unfortified Sweet Wine went to the Colección 125 Vendimia Tardía 2005, chosen out of more than 1000 wines.
